woohoo! this is pau- blogging here. been such a long long long long long long long long time since i last blogged on this blog. anyway, i'm being a slacker right now, and my itchy fingers just had to do some typing. haha =)
anyway, all the best to all those taking their exams! =)
well, just remember that it's all in God's hands! (zong wang zai nai ong pra pu pen zao, meaning "trust and believe in God" in thai) yep, reading this christian book now, and it says: " Even though our world seems cold, dark and lonely, God is there. He's in control. He is for us. And He sees what's aroung the corner even when we can't. Remember, faith, like film, is developed in the dark. Trust was made for the darkness. We can count on every word He says- so we know He's working it all for our good. Turn the page. The next chapter of your life is going to be beyond what you can think or imagine (Eph 3.20)"
and also, don't forget ultimately what we're all studying for! we're studying for God's glory ya? =) and remember to thank God in all circumstances.
haha and another thing i wanna share from the book i'm reading (btw, it's a somesort relationship book my sister lent me =X haha).
"Yes, the circumstances were compelling; their fear was real (talking about Joshua and Caleb exploring Canaan). But if you'll remember from the beginning of the book (as in, the book that i'm reading. haha), the truth is not dependent upon our feelings or our circumstances. Wht God says is the truth. Ever heard anyone tell you to "face reality"? Guess what? Reality isn't found in circumstances or in feelings: Reality is the Word of God. And trusting God is not a suggestion; it's a command.
In fact, the Bible suggests that if you don't have faith, you can forget about receiving anything from the Lord: 'But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. that man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does' (James 1:6-8) Wow, if you doubt, don't even think you receive
anything from the Lord- that's a pretty serious penalty."
"The great heroes of the Bible were ordinary people. They had to learn to trust God too. Think of the apostles. Great men- all but one. Yet they couldn't see the big picture- and made some seemingly stupid blunders. They were with Jesus night and day and saw firsthand all the amazing things He could do- healing the sick, raising the dead, giving sight to the blind. One day they witnessed Jesus feeding five thousand people with a couple of fish and a few loaves of bread. These apostles picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. Then, in the
very next chapter, they were faced with how to go about feeding
four thousand people. They actually had
more food and
fewer people than a chapter before, but were dumbfounded about what to do.
duhI don't think the apostles were stupid. I think they were just like us- human. And human beings have a hard time remembering important things when we're in a crisis. We can even lose sight of the facts that we have God with us.
(and i'm lazy to type a paragraph)
So remember who you're dealing with- the God of the universe who has helped you before, through a situation probably worse than what you're facing right now"
yep, don't know if anyone managed to make it to reading till here; i'm rather long-winded. but yeah, ultimately, let's all
trust in our great and faithful God!love ya all,
pau- =)
