Announcement 1 – Churchwide Prayer Meeting

Dates : 31 Oct (Friday)
Time : 8 pm to 10 pm
Venue : Main Sanctuary

Every quarter, we will come together as a church to pray. The next churchwide Prayer Meeting will be held on 31 Oct. It’s a Friday. There will be no CG meetings that evening.

There will be buses provided. From Pasir Ris MRT at 7.40 pm and 7.50 pm. And after the meeting the bus will leave Church at 10 pm.

1. Hey All.... examz is finally over for all of you! Hoo ray.. for those who are still in the midst of it, keep pressing on. I am also in the midst of doing my theology studies right now. Quite stressful but also very helpful. Look at your studies as a long term investment that you are building and discovering a
GREAT you. For me, lots of my leadership skills are acquired through the secular studies and not theology studies.. so enjoy your student life lahz! It's one of the best times in your lifetime. Trust me ;>

2. Having said that.... an exciting series call "Fun-O-RaMa" is coming soon. As I was praying over it last night, I sense that God is wanting us to rise up in our faith and believe in him for fish to come into MegaLife net and be saved into God's family. So cell groups, roll up your sleeves, start praying, if you
have not been preparing for growth, start doing it now! Let love be the atmosphere in your cell group so that when the newcomers enter in, they will feel connected and check it out... you have just won one more soul for Jesus through your love for one another and your love for this one more new soul for Jesus. Let's keep praying like mad!!. "Without faith, it is impossible to please God." God can do it!

3. Finally, camp is on your way....!!! Do sign up this week and grab the early bird registration. Start praying about the camp NOW! Ask God to grant you the desperation, hunger and thirst after him..... for you will be filled- Matt 5. Pray about the camp theme... Announcement 1 – Yam Chou Cha Special

For : Pre-believing, dialect-speaking elderly

The Chinese congregation is hosting a special evangelistic morning tea for Hokkien and Cantonese speaking pre-believing elderly family members and friends for RiverLifers.The event highlights heartwarming songs, testimonies and message by our invited speaker, Sister Wen Pi-Er, an evangelist from Taiwan, gifted with ministry through music and songs.

Take this opportunity to bring your loved ones. Call Siew Mui ay the church office to confirm your attendance.

Announcement 2 – Saturday English Service

Time: Every Saturday, 7.30pm
Venue: Main Sanctuary
(Pre-service prayer meeting starts at 7 pm)

Effective from 11 Oct, we will run the Saturday English Services exactly like the Sunday Services. Everything will be the same from the Worship, to the Speaker and Topic.

We warmly welcome especially those of you are younger couples without chidren, and older couples with teenage children, or any others, to come and attend the Sat Evening Service. Please note that there will be no Children Ministry on Saturdays.

There will be only one bus that will leave Pasir Ris MRT at 6.50 pm, and leave Church at 9.30 pm.

2. Registration for camp is coming out soon. So make sure you are already saving up for a powerful, intimate encounter with Jesus! CHeck it out this weekend.

3. After the Authority for Victory series, we will be embarking on a journey of Fun, fun and more fun. It will be a time for us to get to know one another more and bring our friends to church and see their names written in the Book of Life. For a while, MegaLife has been strengthening our nets to prepare to catch "Fishers of men"... and let me break the good news to you... The time is coming for SOULs Winning! COming end Nov and Dec, we want to flood the main sanctuary with more and more youths, worshipping God in spirit and in truth with us. SO let's keep praying for souls saved for Jesus!

4. I want to take this time to challenge all of you to keep praying as well. Leaders, remember your commitment to the Lord to pray 30min a day.. don't lose heart, don't give up.... and the rest of my awesome MegaLifers, be on board with us... to pray like mad! Perhaps, it will be GREAT for you to start praying 10min a day. 5 min in the morning and 5 min at night and see God moving and You growing. God is good. Pursue Jesus, Pastor Joyce Lim

EXTREMESMILE: Siberia: PAULUS

It was getting late and the Soviet officer had beaten and tortured Paulus for many hours. "We are not going to torture you anymore," he said, smiline brutally when the christian looked up. " we will send you instead to Siberia, where the snow never melts. It is a place of great suffering. You and your family will fit in well."

Paulus instead of being depressed, smiled. "The whole earth belongs to my Father, Captain. Wherever you send me, i'll be on my Father's earth.
The captain looked at him sharply. "We will take away all you own."
"You will need a high ladder, Captain, for all my treasures are stored up in heaven." Paulus still wore a beautiful smile.
"We will put a bullet between your eyes," shouted the captain, now angry.
"If you take away my life in this world, my real life of joy and beauty will begin," answered Paulus. "I am not afraid of being killed."
The captain grabbed Paulus by his tattered prison shirt and screamed into his face,"We will noe kill you! We will keep you locked alone in a cell and allow no one to come see you!"
"You cannot do that, Captain," said Paulus, still smiling. "I have a Friend who can pass through locked doors and iron bars. No one can separate me from the love of Christ."

HI Cell lEaders!
Sorree for the delay in the Oct prayer guide. As the Executive Leadership of RiverLife Church are still in the midst of making some amendments to the prayer guide, there're no "the so-called official prayer guide for oct". However, Sarah came out with three prayer items for us to pray tog as a CG. So please ensure that these items are covered in your weekly 10mins of prayer in CG.


ITEM 1
There is a growing passion to reach the lost starting from Senior Pastor's office, Elders' Board, staff team and lay leaders. Earnestly pray that God will continue to show us how to do so. Pray especially for Pastor Vincent as he leads the Local Evangelism Division. Pray for protection upon him and the other team members; Pauline Chua (RLCS); Linda Ng (Alpha Course); Winnie Phoon (MegaLife Kindy); Joyce Lim and all our congregation pastors.

ITEM 2
There is also a deep hunger for more of God and His work in our lives and in our cells. Pray that next year will be a year of spiritual growth as much as it will also be a year of evangelism. Pray that God will prepare our hearts. Pastor Vincent will be sharing more about the plans for next year and our vision for the upcoming years in our upcoming leaders' conference. Pray for Pastor Vincent as he prepares for this the next few weeks that the Lord will speak to his heart so clearly so that he can lead us effectively.

ITEM 3
Pray for our weekend services each week. Pray that God's presence will be so real to both seekers and regular worshippers. Pray also for all our faithful servants - the ushers, car parks marshalls, communion servers and preparers, the worship team, LCD and technical team......that each one of them will grow through their service unto God.

1. hey All! Was a great service last Sat wasn't it? Right from the prayer time till the end of the service... FANTASTIC presence of God! I have enjoyed the entire Friendship factor series, both as a preacher and also a receiver of the word of God! I am a firm believer that when we love the WORD of GOD and demonstrate the WORD of GOD in our lives, we are rADICALLy changed! This coming sat till the mid of November, another exciting pulpit series would be onz. Check out the flyers you will recieve in your bulletin. =)

2. Examz examz examz... it's nearing! HaLLelUjaHHHhh! ;> Steady! Have a cheerful spirit coz a good attitude is like almost half a battle won. It provides motivation and perserverance to study! Bite the bullet, go through it and know that you are never ALONE coz God is with you! And after the exams... MegaLife has fun programs lined up for you... camps, some fun service programs, Christmas event, Gospelmania, Mission trip (those tt signed up) etc hiphip hooray~

3. Last Sunday was the Bring it On event. I don't have the confirmed figures of decisions with me.. but I heard that from the first musical itself, there is alreadi eighty over decisions!!! Puji tuhan.. meaning Praise the Lord in bahasa indonesia lahz. Even when examz is nearing, children are still coming to know Christ. Howz about youths?

MegaLifers..don't slack or let examz and stress overwhelmed you that you lose your flame, kay?

Continue to pray, invite your frenz to service and cell group, have your Time Alone With Jesus and let's continue to explore for Christ. I have been praying for MegaLife and I am asking God to break the 200 mark for our service attendance and I believe God can do it! Guess what? Last week, we had our attendance of 200+ though quite a handful of P6ers seems to be missing! Manz.. that means that our regular attendance is actuallies 200 overs.... come onz! let's gather one another back! Let's continue to love God and people more.. and be faithful to God in our service and worship.

THIRTY BOOKS OF THE BIBLE… CAN YOU FIND THEM?

There are thirty books of the Bible in this paragraph. Can you find them? This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed it so much, he passed it on to some friends. One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat.
Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot. That’s a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or scholar to see some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new sales record. The local paper, the Chronicle, surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult they had ever seen. As Daniel Humana humbly puts it, “the books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight.” Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown.
